Microwave technology has been used for more than a half-century already for communications, far beyond “wireless Internet communications”. In fact, that term is deceiving and WRONG - wireless Internet, such as wifi and cellular telecomms do NOT use microwave frequency signals. Only in the back haul, if (preferred and higher speed/higher capacity) wired fiber optic linkages are not available, aremicfowave towers used.
