Does she feel proud to have represented her country so well, or does she feel devastated about coming so close and not winning? It’s crushing when our amateur sports team loses the playoff game but does that nullify the accomplishment of getting to the playoffs in the first place? Sure, it’s disappointing we didn’t get the job offer after so many rounds of interviews but surely we should feel encouraged about being among the top applicants.
