While Paul, Peter, and John wrote about the “one anothers”1 in their letters, it was Jesus who initiated these specific ways of how we enter relationships with one another. Jesus told us first to love one another, forgive one another, and pray for one another. He set the culture of how life-giving friendship works. He wanted friends.
