However, India does export huge volumes of food and other goods to wealthy countries across the Middle East. Even more than their wealthy American, European, and Japanese counterparts, these Middle Eastern countries lack much of anything with which to fill those empty containers for the backhauls (oil, after all, moves in tankers, not containers).
