When we recognize that people come to God in the shape of desperately needy sinners in need of grace, all counselors should seek to deluge the counselee with the love of Christ. If you are the counselor, this should be your greatest joy: to pour and pour God’s love over those who are spiritually parched. This, after all, will bring great glory to the name of Christ.
