Over the years the plan was modified until it worked like this: 1. The television is turned off at supper time and not turned on again until the children are in bed, Monday through Thursday. 2. Each child is allowed to watch one school-night show a week (subject to parents’ approval). Homework and chores must be finished beforehand. 3. Weekend television is limited to any two of the three nights. The remaining night is reserved for homework and other activities. The children make their selections separately.
