Balance in the Force is essential to become a great Je’daii, and to achieve that one must also gain balance in one’s abilities and talents.

There is a figure. Tall, cloaked, armored, an unmarked helmet hiding its features. In its hand is a weapon the like of which she has never seen before. A sword, but strange, with pure Force as its blade.
Ben Ramsey
This is from a dream sequence the main character has, and it’s unrelated to the plot in the book. I can’t help but think she just dreamed about Darth Vader 25,000 years BBY. While unrelated to the central plot, the predominant theme of the book is of balance. The events occurring show that the Force, which has been balanced for a time is about to become unbalanced, and for 25,000 years will be so. Perhaps this dream is a foreshadowing of the book-ended closure to the time of unbalance?
