The infinite and the void go hand in hand, and are both part of the divine creator. Better yet, the term ayin is an anagram of (and has the same numerical value as) the word aniy, the Hebrew “I.” It could scarcely be clearer: God was saying, in code, “I am nothing.” And at the same time, infinity.
