It’s so nice to have you in our group. Bartholomew has a new disciple packet and a coffee mug for you.” Not. Here’s how Christ actually addressed the potential recruit: “Foxes have dens, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man doesn’t have a place to call his own.”2 Modern translation: Follow me, and you’ll be homeless the rest of your life.
