The more you think about yourself in a certain way, the more you will think about yourself in that same certain way. The more you think about anything in a certain way, the more you will believe that that is how it really is. The mind works that way because the brain always tries to tie any new thing you think to something you already believe.
1. Programming creates beliefs. 2. Beliefs create attitudes. 3. Attitudes create feelings. 4. Feelings determine actions. 5. Actions create results.
self-talk is a way to override our past negative programming by erasing or replacing it with conscious, positive new directions. Self-talk is a practical way to live our lives by active intent rather than by passive acceptance.
Level 1 self-talk represents everything from our simplest misgivings to the worst fears we have about ourselves. It is our way of telling ourselves to hesitate, question our capabilities, and accept less than we know we could have done, had we only given ourselves a chance. It is our way of timidly hiding in the shadows instead of boldly thriving in the sunshine.
Level 4 self-talk is characterized by the words, “I am...” “I am organized and in control of my life. I am a winner. I am healthy, energetic, enthusiastic, and I’m going for it. Nothing can stop me now. I like who I am. I am in tune, on top, and in touch, and going for it. I have determination, drive, and self-belief. I am living the life I choose, and I choose what’s right.”
In essence you’re saying, “This is how I choose to be. This is who I want you to help me become.”
Norman Vincent Peale’s bestselling book The Power of Positive Thinking
The researchers discovered that people who typically think positively, actually grow more neurons in the left prefrontal cortex of their brain. That area of the brain is, in part, responsible for our ability to seek alternative solutions to problems, deal with challenges, and maintain an even balance.
As individuals, we should be capable of exerting more control over our own minds, individually, than any outside control or influence which anyone else would like to have over us.
I would encourage you to vote your own vote, think for yourself, and always be in control of what you are programming into your own subconscious mind. Your self-talk, and the directions you give to your own inner self, will always be your surest form of mental defense and inner strength. Combine that with your personal source of spiritual strength––and no one else can override it. Employ the resources of your own mind. Call them to action. Think for yourself. Speak for yourself. Educate and program your own mind in the manner of your own choosing. No one else should do that for you. No one

I spend twenty minutes each night writing my goals, reviewing my progress, and mentally visualizing reaching each goal I was setting.
Since most of those things we call problems are really only perceived as problems, the way you look at each of them determines whether they really are or not; you need only tell yourself to see them in a better way.
“Believing in Incredible You.” It is impossible to listen to that session without feeling better, thinking better, doing better, within the first few minutes of the listening session.
If you are already an active goal-setter, give to your goals the gift of your own self-assurance. Add the words of daily direction and encouragement of self-talk to your goals. Any well-set goal deserves the benefit of well-said words.
We try to figure out how we can earn more money before we believe we are capable of doing it. Talk to yourself about your self-worth. When you start to create a new picture of yourself being worth more, your subconscious mind will help you find a way to go about earning it.
