Over the years I’ve heard many ways of describing this process, but I think the analogy I’m going to share with you now works best. Imagine a very still, clear pool of water. The water is quite deep, but very, very clear. Because the water’s so clear you can see absolutely everything at the bottom, making it appear shallow, even though it’s actually very deep.
