Enjoy the Decline

We must also realize that, for better or worse, the United States is a democracy and this is what the people wanted. Opposing it would not only be against the principles of the United States, but it would also be the definition of tyranny. This should provide you some solace, or at least assuage any guilt you have, in that you were not responsible for the demise of this country.

The final psychological adjustment you must make is living your life in accordance with leisure, not labor.

Unfortunately what this means is switching your focus in life from labor to leisure is not as simple as throwing a switch in your brain, making a decision, and then declaring,

Also to one extent or another people value and define themselves by what they do for a living. Without that job or career, suddenly they feel like they have no purpose in life and can easily fall into depression or worse.

While there is no official definition, minimalism is essentially shrinking your economic production to its absolute minimum. There are many reasons to do this, but the primary one is to lessen the amount of wealth or income a parasitical state (or people) can take.

The truth is most employers and bosses offer college graduates nothing that even comes close to a genuine career. They advertise it as such. They use euphemistic titles. They even outright lie on the job description to get you to sign up. But in the end it’s just all the crap work the boss plain doesn’t want to do. Work that can be done by any competent 6th grader.

This first thing you can do is not lie to them. This is arguably how we got into this mess in the first place - by lying to younger generations about the economic realities of the world. Yes,

If you tell a kid for 18 years of their life, “you can do whatever you want” or “follow your dreams and the money will follow” or other such poppycock, they will be crushed doubly so when they don’t live up to the impossible expectations you MISLED them to have.

The American people have spoken and they believe the public sector is the future of the US economy. So while the government is picking winners and losers in this economy, you might as well join the winning team.

Knowledge that begat them riches when they moved to a free country.

The trick is to make sure you don’t become a “gun nut,” never being able to part with any of your guns because they’ve developed some kind of sentimental value. Buy them for investment purposes only, knowing full well you won’t even fire half of them to maintain their resale value.

If self-selected euthanasia was commonly practiced, not only would everybody avoid horrible fates such as my grandmother, but our financial problems would literally be solved overnight, rendering this book moot.

Thus, to truly enjoy the decline you must take as much government money as possible.

The revenge we should take from this is the majority of people who forced socialism on us have such sad lives that even with government subsidy they still will never enjoy the lives we do. The single mom of four may get free baby formula on our dime, but she will never climb Harney’s Peak. She will never see Mount Rushmore. She will never see Paris. “Jessup the Red Neck Meth-Head” may be collecting welfare, but he’ll never enjoy a good jazz club, an exquisite Gibson, or a finely-tailored suit. The parasites of society are parasites because they made crippling mistakes that will forever ruin their lives no matter how much government money is thrown at them. And even though they may get free health care, free formula, and free tuition, they will never live the happy, successful, and fun life you will.

You need to minimize work in your life, putting it where it belongs – dead last on your priority list. Ideally you could be one of the lucky few who actually enjoys their job, but if you’re like everybody else realize when you’re working that is time that could be spent having fun.

When you train people to hate other people simply because they don’t believe what you want them to, your problem isn’t the world, it’s you. And subjugate the entire globe, you’re problems will not go away until you do.
