This reminds me of the time we had cancer survivors come to speak at my work (a cancer center). Every single one of them got up and said they wouldn't have been able to do it without god. The healthcare providers were not thanked even one time. I nudged one of them in the elbow and said "so much for you surgically removing their cancer" and she responded "what am I, chopped liver?"
