UTAH CRITERIA FOR ADULT ADD I. A childhood history of ADD with both attentional deficits and motor hyperactivity, together with at least one of the following characteristics: behavior problems in school, impulsivity, overexcitability, and temper outbursts. II. An adult history of persistent attentional problems and motor hyperactivity together with two of the following five symptoms: affective lability, hot temper, stress intolerance, disorganization, and impulsivity.
