“I feel genuine emotional anguish, but never for my own sake. I have all that I’ll ever need. But so many people have little of what they really need. I’m content, yet I grieve the profound lack of contentment of most of the people that I love.” Jesus gazed out the windshield again. “You won’t fully understand these things, Philly. But it’s good for you to keep trying.”
If you see with your spirit instead of your physical eyes, you’ll still see me. If you listen with your spirit instead of only your physical ears, you’ll continue to hear me. As I told my first disciples, it really is better for me to give you my Spirit to live inside you. With that internal contact, you’ll never have to ask me to speak up. You’ll never have to strain to see me in a crowd. I will be inside you and you inside of me.”
