Be appreciative of their time, be funny or interesting, be proactive, be open to their advice. I am always amazed when people ask me, or even pay me, for coaching and then act like they know everything and have no problems. This is very annoying and a waste of time for both of us. Listen to what they care about and are interested in. Offer inputs and insights that they will appreciate. Follow up and say thank you.
