“Found you some extra blankets and pillows in case you’d like to make a makeshift nest. Is this enough?” Enough? Tears pricked behind my eyes. Hades looked near panic when he saw the single tear that spilled over. “What did I do now?” He seemed so stricken. An intense need to fix it swamped me until my feet were moving. I rushed toward him. He dropped the blankets and pillows on the floor and caught me as I launched myself at him, hugging him around the neck.
