everything inside me hurt so badly that I almost couldn’t breathe, much less defend my decision. I despised that it was summer again; it was just a reminder that it wasn’t going to be anything like last year. I knew I was supposed to feel happy, but the summer just seemed like something great that would happen to everybody else.
