Many individuals believe that God is good and that God is powerful, but he is not completely sovereign. As a result of this flawed concept, they can have no true confidence that God will see that his will is done in their lives, and they go about their lives worried that they must strive to convince God to get involved, help them out, and “bless their efforts.” This is misplaced anxiety; God wants our trust, not our striving.
