Each morning a monk would lecture from the scriptures. There were five of us and we would rotate lecturing. I was really impressed at everyone’s ability to read a passage and give a 30-minute talk without much preparation. Even during public programs, the monks, without much preparation, would very eloquently elaborate on the philosophy in an easily understandable manner. To me, it was incomprehensible.
