As I fell captive to his gaze, my eyes locked with his and I gasped as I realised his pupils had transformed from a sea of cerulean green into reptilian slits with a brighter hue. I wanted to look away but I was caught, trapped in the net of his gaze and unable to pull myself back. A shaky breath spilled between my lips and I raised the pencil to my mouth on instinct, biting down gently on the eraser.

I was letting myself truly feel something other than rage. And I didn’t want it to stop too soon. Before he could pull back, I turned my head and touched my lips to his.
“Sorry,” I muttered, backing up again. “I don’t know why I-” Gabriel caught my face between his hands and pressed his lips to mine again before I could say anything else.
Gabriel cut off my babbling by pressing his lips to mine again. His long fingers slid into my hair and every particle in my body came alive for him as my breath caught in my throat.
“You’re so beautiful, Elise Callisto,” he said seriously, his thumb brushing over my lips. “I didn’t know you’d ever even looked at me before now,” I teased, unsure how to react to his intensity. “I haven’t stopped looking at you from the moment you walked into our dorm. Gabriel slid a hand beneath my lower back, tipping my hips up before thrusting into me more firmly at last. I cried out as he hit the perfect spot deep inside me

“Yeah, thanksssss,” I hissed like a snake. “But shhhhe’s not interesssted.” I got up and walked away with a satisfied smile, hearing Elise’s musical laugh following me.

“Why are you crying?” he asked, his voice a dangerous growl. “Who hurt you?”
“To everyone else you’re like this perfect little doll, but I can see how fractured and torn apart you are inside,” he breathed. “I can see the cracks in the perfection. “By the stars, Ryder,” she sighed dramatically. “Just try it.” She scooped up a spoonful and lifted it to my lips. I stared at her like she’d gone mad and a dare entered her eyes. Was I going to let this girl feed me like a fucking baby in a high chair? I hesitated on that thought, pursing my lips. “Hurry up, Ryder, or I start making aeroplane noises,” Elise teased and a single breath of laughter escaped me.
“See, Inferno,” Ryder taunted. “It’s perfectly fucking acceptable. So I’m hers now too.”
Leon reached into his pocket with a wide smile, his eyes twinkling excitedly. “If you give her any more chocolate you’re going to give her diabetes,” Ryder snarled. “This is better than chocolate. I noticed you haven’t been chewing gum this week, so...” Leon placed a six pack of cherry gum down on the table between us and I couldn’t help but squeal excitedly. I reached for it, pulling one of the packets out right away so that I could have a piece while Leon smiled so widely I could have counted every one of his teeth.
“Don’t look back!” Mars under the influence of the stars. Golden crossroads. Three pennies. A hand guiding me free. Chamber in the walls. “I love you - run!” Death rattle. The eyes of the devil. “Even your memories aren’t safe.” Dark eyes filled with love and sorrow. A baby crying. He didn’t help. Lies.
I looked in the mirror and groaned; the suit showed every fucking bit of my junk and ass crack.

Every break and fracture only steeled my determination. And everything I’ve lost has only strengthened my soul. I won’t flinch at the worst of you because there is no best of me anymore.”
Leon dug right through it all without even seeming to try. He made me feel joy and light and laughter and I just wanted to drink it all in and never let it go.
“You don’t look pretty,” I growled and her expression slammed into bitch gear, but I didn’t give a shit. “You look like the most lethal poison I’ve ever seen. It’s fucking divine.”
“Hi,” I breathed as he pinned me in his gaze. “You...splendi più luminosa di tutte le stelle del cielo, bella,”
