I ain’t the fastest but I sure am the most willing to survive in this scenario & there are some things that just don’t show up in the body until we need them to & when two cops turned into three & then turned into five & then turned into the apartment complex where I thought I could get lost among the buildings but couldn’t because the complex was no longer the complex it was once & half the buildings had been torn down for the sake of some boutiques & I have certainly been done worse by gentrification than I was in that moment but needless to say I’d have cursed it once again if I didn’t have
