The King in Red

Look, it wasn’t one of my more well thought out plans, but it was better than doing nothing.

Fair enough.

“I agree,” the King nodded. “To give up your life for someone you love… It’s perhaps the most romantic thing one can do.”

Uh oh

However, I felt something less physical, more emotional, as if he’d marked me somehow.

That…was excellent.

I waited until he turned around and returned to the food, then started singing “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri.

Oh, lordt.

If I read the play again, and again, and again, he’d know that I wanted to come back and he would bring me home.

You really want to abandon everything?

A friendship like ours shouldn't, and wouldn’t, be thrown away after a few bad weeks.
