“I have feelings for you, songbird.” My heart pounds, and the rest of the bar falls away. “I like you so fucking much. I don’t want to pretend I don’t anymore.
“I love you.” My words are a quiet murmur as I watch her reaction, and my heart slams against the front wall of my chest. I’ve never said those words to a girl.
