He’d place his palms over my stomach and pray. I’d hear the tiny movements of the wet portion of where his lips met as he spoke to God about my baby.
Ezra wasn’t rejecting my baby. He was rejecting me. He believed I betrayed him by not telling him about the pregnancy all this time. It was almost as though he accused me of hiding it purposely all the time he was trying to win me back.
You were hiding it PURPOSELY!
And if I would be honest, I did keep it from him for selfish reasons.
