“Yeah, one thing,” Cheeks says, stepping into the alley. “What?” He grabs my shoulders. “Can’t let you do it.” I don’t have time to process. He uses my surprise to shove me back behind the holographic image of the alley. “Hold her!” Cheeks yells, and it’s an order.
