There is no one more convincing than the convinced.

[Heavy metal isn’t anti-religious so much as darkly rebellious in its imagery.

People look at the same thing but see it differently.

just because someone is a born leader, doesn’t mean you should follow them.

The invisible connections between us.

We’re drawn to people with similar life experiences. There’s an unseen level of communication that draws us to those whose emotional development is similar, or complementary, to our own.

We tend to say “cult” when we mean a negative or toxic organization.

One definition of a cult is a religion where the spiritual leader is alive.

We find people raised with a strong religious upbringing are more susceptible to joining a cult.

as soon as someone knows what you want, they can control you with the promise of getting it for you.

[Aren’t we all living in one big cult? From birth we’re conditioned to behave a certain way, believe prescribed things, and uphold society’s norms. Who’s to say all those beliefs and values are correct?

places where really bad things happened. Torture. Abuse. Murders. Some people think those places become infused with the negative energy of those “evil” events. They call it “stone recording.” It’s not a ghost or vampire, but an energy.

In the face of coincidence and unexplained phenomena we are all at the mercy of our own thought processes.

cats have nine lives, who’s to say it’s all in the same body or at the same time?

I read that each time we’re born on earth our connection to our previous life fades only gradually. So, in youth we have an insight and perspective on the entirety of life that we lose with experience. Hence young people write so eloquently about regret.
