A 2011 study at Purdue University and a 2016 study in Scotland found that wind farms were actually increasing surface temperatures. A 2018 study concluded that wind power in the US could warm surface temperatures by 0.24o C., nearly one-fourth of the global temperature increase experienced since 1800.14
