I didn't want his help. Ty’s definition of protection varied. On the one hand, he didn't want me to get hurt. I could understand that. On the other hand, I knew who he was, and he wouldn't think twice about snapping somebody's neck because they looked at me the wrong way. How did I know? Because it happened before. I really didn't want another unnecessary death on my conscience.
