The Hiding Place

her ability to look straight into the terrifying jaws of a gas-chambered hell and walk out courageously into the sunshine of the other side

“There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.”

“Only heaven will reveal the top side of God’s tapestry.”

And that soon—perhaps sooner than we think—He will finally close the curtain on sin and suffering, hate and holocausts to welcome home His survivors.

“hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest . . . the shadow of a great rock in a weary land” (Isaiah 32:2).

Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for a future that only He can see.”

I know that the experiences of our lives, when we let God use them, become the mysterious and perfect preparation for the work He will give us to do.

Whenever we cannot love in the old, human way, Corrie, God can give us the perfect way.”
