All I know is that I have to be near her. I have to know what she’s doing at all times. Her life from this moment on will never be the same. She’ll never walk alone again. I’ll be her shadow, and in the night, I’ll be her dark. I’ll consume her so she never knows loneliness again.
The last thing I need is to get arrested for assaulting a cop. I wouldn’t hit him, but I’m thinking about stomping on his toes. Just a quick little slam to his foot.
“You belong to me. I own you. I’ve marked my territory. No other can have you. Hear me in your dream, slip my voice past the haze of drugs. Hear. Me. And if you must…” I taste the slender curve of her neck again “Hate me.”
I roar, slamming my entire body against Famine while he tries to teach me about fucking control. Fuck control.
“Can you please get him out of… whatever you have him trapped in?” Demi asks. “No. If I release him, he’ll rip your clothes off and fuck you in the middle of purgatory.” I grumble in delight at the thought. Yes, I most definitely would do that. Abaddon knows me well.
“You are the only one that can happen to me— to us. You’ve opened up a beautiful world to me that I didn’t know existed. You’re unconventional, but you’re unconventionally mine.”
All thanks to a game of tag and a field of sweet flowers.
