Perhaps the best way to become a trusted leader for our horses is to first demonstrate that we aren’t afraid to be a follower every once in a while. It’s not a sin to let our horses tell us when something is wrong or to let them make a decision from time to time. If it’s a good decision, we can go with it. If it’s a bad decision, we can be prepared to show them why it was a bad decision and what we can do to help them out of it.
