He wished he had his mother’s simple faith. She accepted whatever crisis or roadblock fell in their path.
That's my goal, to accept good, bad, and the in between as allowed by Jesus who loves me so much that He accepted an excruciating death to save me. Knowing that no matter what, it will be used for my good and His glory. So I don't need to fear bad things, because the Lord of Love will be with me and will help me grow more like Him, through the experience.
