“A god has no need for mortal trappings. Even now, we only wear robes because it offends mortal eyes to be greeted by naked gods.”
Soup fixes everything.
I miss a particular fruit, or a flower, I’ll see a spider a few days later with a bundle for me, and know that Ossev is wooing me in his strange way with gifts.
“Something painful. A quick, easy murder would be too good for him. I’d want him covered in honey and eaten alive by rats, I think.” Ossev’s eyes widen and a startled laugh barks from him. “You are supposed to teach us to be human, Yulenna!” “Cruelty is very human.”
“And at least one Canada goose, just to mess with everyone else. Though I don’t know if you call them Canada geese here, seeing as you don’t have Canada. But if you want a duck that will fuck your shit up, that’s the one. Am I right?”
