I feel anxiety. I try to manage someone else to alleviate my anxiety.
My panic about someone not doing it right ultimately boils down to dreading the feeling that I’m going to have if things don’t work out. Here’s the key: Instead of putting my anxiety on my family and the people I work with, if I take responsibility and let go of it, then I’ll be freed up to give everyone trust. And when I give trust instead of anxiety, it makes both our worlds more harmonious.
Self-awareness plus self-control equals the best possible life you could ever hope for.
The more you chase comfort, the more unhappy you become. Because happiness isn’t about being comfortable; it’s about growing and improving. And by nature, growing is not comfortable.
