He was the love of her life. Nothing was going to keep them apart. She was young and naive enough to believe that was true.
“When did you have time to make these?” Xavier asked once they were alone, turning over a pamphlet in his hands. It was printed on thick card stock, with a photograph of Violet on the front cover, hands on her hips, posing in what must have been her studio. “Oh, it didn’t take long at all,” she answered. “Maybe ten minutes? My dad drove me to get them printed at Staples.”
But Xavier knew that he wasn’t selling himself short. He was just being realistic.
I’m sorry for pushing you away when I should have been honest with you about how I was feeling.
