If students are working in multiage groups, all at their own pace, there is no longer an artificial stopping point when you transition to the “next” grade. If your family wants to travel to Europe or you have people coming over for the holidays or you want to start a business, it’s not a big deal. Just take the time off. You can’t “miss” class, because you’re working at your own pace. Even better, you can still do a lot of learning while on the road now that you have access to self-paced videos and exercises.
