“Don’t be scared, Mommy,” she said. “At least you still have Abigail.”
“He’s here to play,” she told him. “He said you never finished the game.”
“I know it sounds crazy,” the sheriff told Stephen, “but that boy of yours didn’t seem human. He looked like the devil had gone ahead and eaten his soul right out of his body.”
