Whether she knows it or not, I already had a great night, because of her.
then I remember the electricity that I felt when I was with her, and I know for damn sure that it was real.
I see the way you look at her, and the way she looks at you when she thinks no one is watching. Plus she was on my team when we whooped your ass in volleyball.”
I can’t even deny that my feelings for Cassandra are starting to grow, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to spend more time with her.
When I look over at Cassandra, her happiness is apparent all over her face. She’s relaxed, a hint of a smile on her lips, and she looks absolutely beautiful.
His scent is all around me, and I would have expected it to be jarring, but it isn’t.
My body instantly melts into him, softening to his touches.
“Wait a minute, did you actually sleep with him?!” I cut my eyes to the bathroom. The door isn’t fully closed and I can hear the toilet flush. “Is he in the room with you still?!” She whisper yells, though it's more yell than whisper. From the bathroom, I hear a low laugh from Cyrus, and a flush of embarrassment rushes over me, my chest and neck getting hot.
Everything about Cassandra feels right. The way our bodies fit together perfectly. The way being around her feels like a breath of fresh air. All of it just feels … right.
I reach down to bring her closer to me. “You’re amazing, Cass.”
As we lay out, Cyrus and I fall into a comfortable silence. The kind of silence where neither person feels the need to force small talk for no reason.
