Your sarcasm, though, not the singer’s. Rob Thomas sings the line “Man, it’s a hot one” like he’s hot. He sounds sweaty. Grant him that. And anyway pop-song immortality often starts as somewhat of a joke. Ha ha ha, “Man, it’s a hot one.” That’s so dumb. I’ll never forget it as long as I live.
