The notion that Bigfoot sightings might not be simple sightings of an unknown animal was first proposed back in 1973 by a UFO researcher, Stan Gordon, who noticed that he had received several UFO sighting reports from Pennsylvania that seemed to indicate Bigfoot-like creatures entering and leaving UFOs.
