In her excitement, thinking she’d been alone at the time, she’d run on the spot, squealing in joy while holding it.
He’d never been so overwhelmed with happiness that he’d done anything remotely like that,
He wanted that, with her. He wanted her to share that with him, for him to be the reason ...

I don’t know how to be charming. He just knew how to destroy things. Should I get her a flower? Don’t human women like gifts? He already got her tulips, though.
For the first time in his life, he truly felt like a bad guy, a jerk, a... selfish monster.
What will I do if she says no?
Or even worse, a definit...

“I want to knot you so badly,” he absentmindedly said, subtly licking at his snout. He’d been wanting that for a long while. “Pardon?” Her arms buckled, and she slipped back into the water.
“Yes, my little starshine, I want to knot that pretty body of yours,”
My little starshine? He’s never called me that before.
“My little starshine?”
“Can’t you call me Rae?”
He was just a pulsating ache, a pathetically needy male.
His knot had swelled to the point it was bulging from within.
Poor little female. What else did she think was going to happen?
He trapped her beneath his body, curling around her like he wanted to crawl into her.
Nothing could compare to filling Raewyn’s soft, giving pussy like this.
She was so wonderful, so perfect for giving him this, for letting him experience this kind of rapture with her. She was a paradise for his heart, as much as his body.
He stopped sharing his sight with her, but he was rather happy with himself that he’d shown her something so perverted.
She played dead, acting all limp and lifeless, as he picked her up while he was on his knees. It wasn’t the first time she’d done this.
He rubbed the side of his skull against her ear, cheek, and soft curls to nuzzle her. He couldn’t purr, but he did give her light, appreciative rumbles and growls. She accepted all of me. Does that mean she would become my bride if I asked her?
I’ve never wanted anything as much as I want her to be mine. His own piece of starlight.
Currently, they were lying in bed on their sides, chest to chest. His arms were around her, and his cuddle was so intimate that even his tail had curled around her thigh.
If only the world could fall away and disappear, so she could keep him to herself.
He started playing with her curls, lifting them up and placing them on his face like he wanted to blanket himself in them.
“So soft.” He placed more on top of his skull. “I don’t think I’ve had such a sweet waking. It makes me not want to get up.”
It was too sweet, too much. She’d always wanted to experience this side of him, but she cou...

“What if I don’t want you to ride me like I’m a horse, Raewyn? The idea is utterly degrading.” Shame rested on her shoulders.
Why do I get the feeling something is wrong?
He shot his head to her to find her mouth was agape and got the impression he’d just absolutely said the wrong thing.
“You are mine, my pretty starshine,” he growled, his sight turning bright pink. “I won’t let anyone take you away from me.”
With his sight black, Merikh lifted his hand above his head, parted his fangs, and dropped her soul into his maw.
“Because I am in love with him, you stupid, idiotic, silly horn head!”
He clutched at his throat. I can’t breathe. He clawed at his chest. The air, it’s too thin.
Where are you, little starshine?
“What do you want, then?” His breaths whimpered, anxious and fearful. It was strange. His answer was slow to come, but it was soft, uttered so quietly that it was a whisper. “You.”
“Give me your soul,” he impatiently panted when everything washed out of him. “Can’t you ask me nicely?” she half-sobbed and half-laughed. “Please? I want to hold it, guide it, cherish and protect it, just as I want to do for your body.”
“You have scored my heart, Raewyn. I never dreamt of having a bride because I didn’t think it was possible, but in your light, in your unconditional acceptance, you made me believe.”
“I want you to be my beacon on the days the darkness wishes to take hold of me again.”
“I have been waiting for over three hundred years for you.” Merikh licked across her cheek to erase the stain of her tears. “If you truly meant what you said, if you have really found it within your heart to love me, I won’t allow anyone to take you away from me.” A strange hiccup, like a giggle and a sob catching at the same time, broke from her.
“Merikh, can you let me up now?” He grunted. “I don’t want to. I want to stay here, where I can hold you and protect you.”
Plus, she kind of did just give him her soul. Rejecting him would be considered cruel, since they were technically bonded, even if it wasn’t by her customs.
For a little while, he just watched her. All his anger, anxiety, his bubbling panic against the claustrophobia, eased out of him. So pretty...
“You are with me, little starshine.”
missed you, my bride.” Fuck, just calling her that instantly had his sight turning to a bright pink. “My pretty, smart, brave, fairy bride.”
“Sure, you are. With your long, pointed ears, glossy white hair, and alluring brown skin, you’re the most enchanting thing I’ve ever seen, especially since you hold stars in your eyes. All you are missing is wings.” “Stooop,” she whined as she covered her face to hide her embarrassment. “You don’t get to suddenly become charming now that I’ve given you my soul.”
“I love you, Raewyn,” he said, the pink of his orbs brightening as he lifted his head back so he could properly see her reaction.
“Is that what this colour means?” “Yes,” he grated. “I saw it not long before we left Earth.” Merikh’s shoulders turned inward under the weight of his emotions. “It’s because I loved you then.”
His silence was haunting and painful, highlighting just how upset he was.
