I roll my eyes, and lo and behold, they land on Alina Azlan, who’s staring right back at me. In a sea full of fake smiles and excitement, her face is as blank as a canvas, yet her eyes are smoky enough to set off a fire alarm inside my brain. It’s irritating and gravitational at the same time. I wouldn’t say I like it. I don’t like her. I don’t like her one bit. But Christ, she’s got a stare that could make Medusa flinch.
