“I have a strong feeling that none of this was legal.” I playfully elbow him, noticing his hand slipped from my thigh a while ago. “Be grateful someone agreed to marry you.” He rolls his eyes, but I can see a hint of amusement dancing in them. “Yes, Nuisance, I’m eternally grateful that someone was you.” I flash him a sardonic smile. “You should have read the fine print before signing the contract, Asseer. Looks like you’re stuck with me now.” His icy demeanour cracks, replaced by a mild smile that makes my heart skip a beat. “As are you, Nuisance.”
