“Am I happy with what’s in front of me? You have been the object of my obsession over the last few days. I was desperate for a taste of you, even a little smell of the sweet lavender, to melt into your blue eyes. I haven’t been able to focus on anything but you the last few days, little bear.”
“Little bear,” he murmured, wiping away a few rogue tears. “Who hurt you?”
“You are an enigma, my little bear. A gorgeous package that I ache to unwrap.”
But today, all I could think about was Tatum. She was the one thing I wanted that money couldn’t buy. And now that she was finally in my grasp, nothing would stop me from making her mine.
Staring at this woman, who just fell asleep on the counter after using my gun to get herself off, I couldn’t help but want to know more about her. I had a rule, though.
Seeing tears stream down her face, I needed to distract and please her because I’d rather die than witness her in such pain.
“I thought you wanted nothing to do with me after you walked out. But I swear I haven’t stopped thinking about you, little bear. I want to know what you eat for breakfast or if you thi about me when you touched yourself at night.”
As I shivered, he teased me with a giant icicle, running it up and down my thigh. It was long and pointed on one end, smooth and palm-sized on the other. The icy touch made my teeth chatter more, and I felt a surge of both pleasure and pain. I couldn’t see what he was doing, but I could feel him melting the icicle with his warmth, tracing lines of fire along my skin. “Such a beautiful girl.” His voice was barely above a whisper. As soon as the icicle touched my clit, a jolt of pain and pleasure shot through me. My body was alive with sensation, every nerve ending on edge as he slowly pushed

I dropped to my knees in front of her. “You are worth breaking every rule for. I will not spend another moment alone until I know what every inch of you tastes like. Then I’ll go back and start all over again.”
“I wanted to show you that the darkness can have light, too. My world isn’t just full of death. And add your light to my darkness, making me glow.”
“I want to watch you take me deep and scream my name when you come.”
“I am an addict, and you, little bear, are my drug.”
“Can you promise to call when you arrive and come home right after?” “Yes, Daddy.” I winked at him. “Keep calling me Daddy, and I’ll show you who Daddy is.” He lifted me bridal style and walked upstairs. “Mmmm, Daddy, is that you?” I shifted his hands so my hip was grinding against his hard-on. He threw me onto the bed, and I spent the rest of the night showing him just how much he could trust me.
“Right now, you don’t seem to grasp the depth of my feelings. I simply cannot envision a world without you in it. Without your vibrant presence, your soothing lavender scent, your taste that lingers on my lips,” he murmured softly.
“I thought I would die without seeing you again,” I confessed. “Never, little bear. If you die, I will go with you. If you want to go to the other side of the world, I’ll follow. If you jump off a cliff, I’ll ask to hold your hand on the way down. You are mine.”
“I love you,” I whispered while staring into his eyes. “I love you more than there are trees in the forest, little bear.”
“I love you,” she whispered. “I would sell my soul to the devil to walk this earth with you. I will follow you until the end of time and then I’ll still be there with you after that. I don’t just love you. I love your being.” I spoke softly because saying I love you back wasn’t enough.
“Good thing, I always loved villains in the fairy tales I read growing up.”
“Falling in love with you was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. You brought me color,” I murmured. “And you brought me a new color of gray.” She whispered inside the crook of my arms. “I will always be yours, and you will be mine.” “I love you, Julian Marchetti.” She pressed her mouth to mine, letting me feel her warm tongue slip in momentarily. This woman. “I love you, little bear.” And that is when I knew. Per Aspera Ad Astra.
“Let me use my words here.” He continued, “This house is something we may call home, but home is the nights spent together playing footsie and reading books. Home is holding hands in the car and pretending neither of us realizes it. Home is falling in love with you.”
