He needs. And fuck if I’m not helpless to do whatever it takes to make sure he has whatever he needs. Food. Clothes. Comfort. I don’t give a fuck, apparently.
“I’m seeing someone. That’s not the problem.” His grin is immediate, but his eyes narrow a second later at my hushed tone. “Why is it secret? Is she off limits?” “No,” I say slowly. “He’s within limits.”
“Because you’re the sun that I’m orbiting around. I will love you until the stars stop burning. You aren’t just my world, Egon Wolf. You’re my entire universe.”
It occurs to me as we’re winding down halls and through open rooms that I know nothing about this man outside of the things that relate to school and his wants. And maybe, he doesn’t know much about me. We’re married now. Clearly we skipped like 8,000 steps and just went straight for gold.
“Coach Adak?” I ask, incredulous. “Hello, Egon. I see you two are getting along.”
“Wait,” Valenti says, narrowing his eyes on me. “Are you knocked up? Is that the reason for the shotgun wedding?”
