Paul says that as believers we’re clay pots, common earthenware jars meant to hold priceless treasure through the course of our lives. That impossibly valuable treasure is nothing less than “the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” (2 Cor. 4:6). Each of these earthenware jars has been handmade by God Himself, our Creator and the master artisan—not stamped out in some mass-production factory in China.
