“Est-ce que tu vas bien?” I turn around and see a tall, dark-haired man standing behind me.

Thinking about the city reminds me of the girl I met eleven years ago.

“My policy is never explain, never complain. Just makes things worse.”

“I take my wedding vows seriously. And I won’t be going to other women when I can have you.” Before she can respond, I crash my mouth down on hers, claiming her in an openly carnal kiss.

“Watch your tone if you want to keep your teeth. Nobody talks to my wife with disrespect.”

He turns around and stops abruptly. His eyes are on my face, then they drop to my chest. And my nipples get pointed like…tiny little hos with minds of their own.

I wasn’t kidding about destroying him if he doesn’t stay away. Actually, I’m going to go ahead and do that anyway, since it’s the least he deserves.

“He’s being insubordinate, talking to you like that. You’re entitled to get rid of him for creating a hostile work environment. This is your kingdom, Luce. Defend it.”
