“Do you make it a habit to sacrifice things that make you happy for others’ comfort?”

I just think sometimes we lose ourselves in our compromises and forget that ‘no’ is a full sentence.”

I’d spent a fragment of time with this woman. It should’ve been a blip on my radar, and yet she’s occupied every corner of my mind.

“You…you rented an entire yacht…just so I could read by the water?” He holds up the tote bag he packed for me and hands it over so I can see my Kindle and both paperbacks I packed resting comfortably inside. “I did. You ready?”

“No. We’re thirty. Next year, we’ll be in our thirties. There’s a difference.”

Me: No it’s me telling you plainly I’ll get you whatever you want and need whenever you want and need it

“Yep. If you don’t do things that scare you, how can you say you’ve really lived? Me personally? I want to look back on my life and know I was brave enough to do the things that brought me joy despite the risks, even if they didn’t work out.”
