Shifting a paradigm is isolating and terrifying work, and we rarely talk about that part. We focus on the victory lap instead.
“As far as I’m concerned, you’ll be judged by the quality of your work. Period. Do the work, and you will be fine.”
To be alive today, we each come from 2,048 ninth-great-grandparents, 1,024 eighth-great-grandparents, 512 seventh-great-grandparents, 256 sixth-great-grandparents, 128 fifth-great-grandparents, 64 fourth-great-grandparents, 32 third-great-grandparents, 16 second-great-grandparents, 8 great-grandparents, 4 grandparents, and 2 parents. There are thousands of people in each of our family lineages, and their emotional experiences leave a mark on us.
We heal generational trauma when we choose to evolve versus repeat, creating new inheritances for generations to come. Changing the future for our own bloodlines. Each day, we have the choice to become a better ancestor.
As Dr. Gabor Maté says, “If you don’t know how to say no, your body will say it for you through physical illnesses.”
